Our November Ride of the Month takes you further along the coast for a classic route, the Victor Harbor to Goolwa Coastal Cruise. It is the perfect mix of ocean views, smooth paths, and great coffee and food stops along the way.
Starting at the Causeway in Victor Harbor, this route follows the coastal bike path through Port Elliot where you will pass the beautiful outlook over Horseshoe Bay. From there, the path continues through Middleton, giving you an amazing view across Middleton Beach before you roll into Goolwa.
Once you reach Goolwa, turn off the Encounter Bikeway to take in the sights at the Goolwa Barrages and Beacon 19, both worth a short stop before heading back. The full loop is about 50 kilometres, a solid ride that’s made easy and enjoyable on an e-bike. Or stop at this month’s recommended food stop, Bombora On The River in Goolwa, for a break halfway and enjoy the view before making your way back.
Before or after your ride, grab a coffee at Planted Coffee House in Victor Harbor. Both are perfect places to refuel and enjoy the local vibe.
