This month’s Ride of the Month is all about easy riding, fresh air, and getting the whole family out on their bikes. The Inman River Family Loop is a relaxed route designed with kids in mind, plenty of space to ride, and a great spot to finish with food and coffee.
Starting at the Causeway in Victor Harbor, the ride heads toward the Inman River before turning inland to follow the river upstream. This section is peaceful and flat, making it ideal for families and younger riders. The route continues through the flood plains where there is plenty to see and lots of open space to enjoy at a comfortable pace.
The loop then brings you out at Kent Reserve, a perfect stop for families. There is a playground for the kids, open areas to stretch the legs, and a great chance to take a break before heading back. From there, it is an easy ride back toward Victor Harbor to wrap up the loop.
To finish the ride, we recommend stopping at Cafe Primo for coffee, food, and a well earned rest. It is the perfect way to end a family ride and refuel after a relaxed morning on the bikes.
